
Taiwan has joined the United States Visa Waiver Program in response to an announcement from Janet Napolitano, secretary of the division of homeland safety.
Eligible Taiwan passport holders will now be capable of go to the United States with out visas on journeys of as much as 90 days.
The transfer comes into impact on November 1st.
Like different visa waiver travellers, Taiwan passport holders will probably be required to use for advance approval by the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation.
“This announcement is a major step forward in our long-standing economic partnership with Taiwan,” Napolitano stated.
“Taiwan’s participation in the visa waiver programme will not only stimulate tourism in the United States, it will also enable us to work together to maintain the strictest security standards.”
