Peach Aviation Ltd announced that it would fly a new daily route between Singapore and Osaka from Changi Airport beginning 5 December.

The Singapore-Osaka route is the airline’s second medium-haul international route after Bangkok, and will be flown with the Airbus A321LR, an aircraft with a wider seat pitch than the Airbus A320 used on the short-haul route.

Peach’s chief corporate planning officer Satoru Endo said of the aircraft for this particular route: “With a more evenly spaced cutting-edge Airbus A321LR aircraft, we will take you to Osaka in comfort and offer you an exciting experience in the booming Kansai region, which is set to host the Osaka-Kansai World Expo in 2025.”

Endo added that Peach is connected to 13 destinations in Japan from Osaka, making the city the perfect gateway into the Land of the Rising Sun.

A warm welcome

For his part, Changi Airport Group executive vice-president of air hub and cargo development Lim Ching Kiat warmly welcomed the Japanese carrier to Singapore’s primary air hub.

Lim said: “Japan continues to be a top holiday destination for Singapore residents, with passenger traffic growing more than 25 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2024. As one of Changi’s top markets, this new route not only strengthens the connectivity between Singapore and Japan but also expands travel choices for our passengers.”
